Pitch and Scale
The Ibom Ideas Project is driving real impact in Akwa Ibom’s tech ecosystem through intentional training, mentorship, and funding. At the Seed & Scale Pitch Series 1, the initiative showcased measurable results, empowered emerging entrepreneurs, and reinforced its mission to build sustainable digital careers and businesses.

Ibom Ideas Project: Building Men with Purpose, Strategy, and Results
There are initiatives, and then there are movements. The Ibom Ideas Project is clearly the latter—deliberate in vision, strategic in execution, and measurable in impact.
The recently concluded Seed & Scale Pitch Series 1, held at Gladman Hotel Premium, Ewet Housing, was not just another tech gathering. It was a bold declaration of intent—a signal that something structured, impactful, and sustainable is taking shape in Akwa Ibom’s digital ecosystem.
From Vision to Measurable Impact
At the event, Project Lead Prince Samuel Ukut laid out the achievements of the Ibom Ideas Project with clarity and confidence. These were not future ambitions—they were proven results:
- 4,000+ students trained across key digital skills like Digital Marketing, Web Development, and Virtual Assistance
- Industry-based mentorship bridging the gap between learning and real-world application
- Seed and scale funding empowering emerging entrepreneurs
- Job placements transforming skills into tangible economic value
This is what intentional development looks like—structured, focused, and outcome-driven.
Creating Pathways for Builders
Beyond celebrating milestones, the event spotlighted the deeper vision behind the Seed & Scale Pitch Series. It is designed as a pipeline for innovation—a system that supports:
- Early-stage ideas seeking direction
- Existing businesses ready to scale
- Entrepreneurs in need of funding, mentorship, and visibility
In a landscape where many ideas struggle to move beyond conception, this initiative provides a clear and actionable pathway to growth.
Spotlight on Innovation: The Pitch Winners
One of the most exciting moments of the event was the pitch competition, where seven finalists presented their business ideas. Three stood out for their innovation, clarity, and potential:
Chijoike Nwankwo — ₦100,000 + Brand New Laptop
Mercy Johnson — ₦75,000 + Brand New Tablet
Idaraobong Okon — ₦50,000 + Brand New Tablet
The remaining finalists were not left behind—they each received a ₦30,000 consolation prize, recognizing their effort, resilience, and commitment to building viable ventures.
More importantly, the winners reaffirmed their commitment to using the funding as a launchpad for sustainable business growth—a key indicator that the initiative is not just rewarding ideas, but nurturing execution.
Recognizing Impactful Leadership
The event also served as a platform to honor individuals who are contributing meaningfully to the tech and digital ecosystem:
- Hon. (Dr.) Uwemedimo Udo
Executive Chairman, Uyo Local Government Area
Tech Ecosystem Advancement Award - Comrade Nsibiet John

Both awardees acknowledged the Ibom Ideas Project’s consistency and its growing influence in driving grassroots digital transformation.
A Movement with Direction
Project Coordinator Enoabasi Emah reinforced a powerful message: the Ibom Ideas Project is not just another initiative—it is a leading force in free tech training in Akwa Ibom State, driven by clarity of vision and strength of purpose.
She called on partners, stakeholders, and the broader ecosystem to align with a shared goal: positioning Akwa Ibom as a hub for tech talent, innovation, and investment.
More Than a Moment
What is happening here goes beyond a single event or milestone. It represents a shift—a coordinated effort to build capacity, unlock opportunities, and create a sustainable digital economy.
This is not a moment.
It is a movement.
