It was another moment of deep emotions as we unveiled the 6th edition of our Back to School Initiative at Methodist Primary School, Ikot Abia Idem/Ikot Enwang today 24th September 2024 still in the spirit of Akwa Ibom @37.
About the Initiative
The Back to School Initiative is one of our key educational support programs designed to provide essential school supplies to children in need. Now in its 6th edition, this initiative has grown to become a cornerstone of our commitment to educational development in the community.
Program Impact
Each edition of the Back to School Initiative serves hundreds of students, providing them with backpacks, notebooks, textbooks, writing materials, and other essential educational supplies. By removing the financial barrier of purchasing school supplies, we help ensure that more children can focus on their education rather than worrying about having the proper tools for learning.
The 6th Edition
The 6th edition, held on September 24, 2024, at Methodist Primary School, Ikot Abia Idem/Ikot Enwang, was particularly special as it coincided with the Akwa Ibom @37 celebrations. The event saw the distribution of school supplies to all students of the school, with special attention given to those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The emotional atmosphere during the event highlighted the significant impact this initiative has on the lives of these young learners. Many children received their first-ever new backpacks and complete sets of school supplies, bringing joy and renewed enthusiasm for education.
