FRESH NIGERIA INITIATIVE
The Fresh Nigeria Initiative for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with the Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara Partnership Project, has unveiled their Street to School Project as well as the 5th edition of their Schools Cleanup Project.
The Street to School Project aims at complete rehabilitation of abandoned children roaming the streets and sending them back to school, while enrolling others in different vocational skills acquisition training.
The Schools Clean Up Project is the organization's effort at vegetation control in select public schools to reduce study time wasted on grass cutting when students resume from long holidays.

Back to School Initiative
It was another moment of deep emotions as we unveiled the 6th edition of our Back to School Initiative at Methodist Primary School, Ikot Abia Idem/Ikot Enwang today 24th September 2024 still in the spirit of Akwa Ibom @37.
The Back to School Initiative aims to provide essential educational materials to students in need, ensuring they have the tools necessary for effective learning. This program has been running successfully for six editions, making a significant impact on the educational journey of many children.
Through the distribution of backpacks, books, writing materials, and other school supplies, the initiative helps reduce the financial burden on families while encouraging children to stay in school and focus on their education.

FRESH NIGERIA INITIATIVE UNVEILS STREET TO SCHOOL PROJECT, FLAGS OFF 5TH EDITION OF SCHOOLS CLEAN UP IN IKOT EKPENE
As schools resume, a not-for-profit organization, Fresh Nigeria Initiative for Sustainable Development in collaboration with the Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara Partnership Project have unveiled their Street to School Project as well as the 5th edition of their Schools Cleanup Project.
Declaring the events open, Principal of the Fresh Nigeria Initiative, Prince Samuel Ukut stated that the Street to School Project is aimed at a complete rehabilitation of abandoned children, roaming the streets and sending them back to school while enrolling others to different vocational skills acquisition training. He noted also that the Schools Clean Up Project is the organization's effort at vegetation control in select public schools in order to reduce study time wasted on grass cutting when students resume from long holidays.
Flagging off the projects which held at the Methodist Girls Secondary School, Utu/Ikpe, Honourable Commissioner for Information, Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Ini Ememobong in company of the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Itoro Noah, commended Prince Ukut for his commitment towards making life less stressful for the young ones, noting that the clean up project will save study time and allow the beneficiaries to compete favorably with their counterparts in private schools. He donated a hand-held lawn mower to the host institution.
The School Principal, Pastor Affiong Inua thanked the organizations for selecting her school as one of the beneficiaries of the projects.

Schools Clean Up Project
The Schools Clean Up Project is the organization's effort at vegetation control in select public schools to reduce time wasted on grass cutting when students resume from long holidays. The 5th edition of this project benefited nine schools across the region.
This initiative focuses on creating better learning environments by maintaining school grounds and ensuring that academic time is not lost to manual labor. The project has been recognized by government officials and education stakeholders for its positive impact on the education sector.

Digital Skills Training Initiative
We finally launched our FREE Digital Skills Training sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education in partnership with World Bank Nigeria. The orientation provided a detailed outline of the program and also inspired participants with the potential of a future in the tech industry.
The digital skills training will run for three months, followed by internship and mentoring programs, culminating in certification and job placements. We seek partnerships with major tech stakeholders in preparing participants for successful careers in the global digital economy.
